About

Many, many moons ago in the cradle of civilization, the ancestors of chefs Todd Ginsberg and Meherwan Irani were rubbing shoulders over plates of spit-roasted lamb. Well maybe that’s a stretch, but they were most likely bumping into each in the same part of the world, and most certainly cooking with the same ingredients. So, fast forward to 2016 when Ginsberg and Irani bumped into each other in Atlanta and wondered what their ancestors might have been cooking together during the births of the ancient civilizations that have diverged into their two distinct modern cultures - the Parsis and the Jews. Naturally, they decide to plan a dinner around it.

Join these two chefs on a mystical, culinary journey as they go back in time to rediscover the common ingredients that their ancestors cooked with to bring you a six course, family-style dinner. This two-part meal will focus on the past and present of these two very distinct cultures who have translated their food traditions over time in surprisingly similar ways. Ginsberg and Irani will bring these long lost tribes together for the first time to showcase what their ancestors would have been cooking a thousand years before the birth of Christ, and how that has been interpreted today in modern Jewish and Parsi cuisine.
